Tips to reduce spam e-mails!!

Day by day we all get lots an lots of spam mails. I have mentioned some few tips to reduce those spam e-mails. SPAM is an unwanted e-mail messages. Spam often do not contain virus.

Try to have another email account– Most of the domains offer free email accounts. Do you often submit your email address for the below services??. Then you should have a secondary email account in order to protect your primary email account from any spam.

• signing up for products & service
• online shopping
• comment card

You can even use this secondary email account for social networking sites, blogs, and web forums. In case this secondary mail account fills with spam then you can open another account.

Do not spam others- Few people consider email forwards a type of spam, try to be more conscious in forwarding them. Avoid forwarding all your messages to everyone in your address book. Someone asks you not to forward messages to them, respect their request.

Reporting a spam message – Many email clients have an option to report a message spam or junk, if your mail clients have that option then take advantage of it.

Default selected options– In some online accounts & services, there may be a section which will provide you with an option to receive emails about other products & services. Often these options are enabled by default, if you do not deselect it. Emails will be sent from those lists.

Use privacy settings on social networking sites – Many Social networking sites allow the user to choose certain people who can see the users email address. By hiding your email account or by changing the settings, only a group of people whom you trust can see your email address.
