Often people have some problem with their keyboard keys. For example, imagine if your character I in your keyboard is not working. The problem is, whenever you type WAIT it autiomatically turns into WAT. Imagine that you are chatting with your frnd, it’ll be really difficult for him to understand that you have some problem with your keyboard key.
To solve this problem we have two menthods.
On Screen Keyboad. START MENU -> ALL PROGRAMS -> ACCESSORIES -> ACCESSIBILITY -> ON SCREEN KEYBORAD
The other method is using ASCII value. To type the ASCII value for a particular character or for a symbol.
ASCII value
To use this method we have to hold ALT key & then we have to type the respective ASCII value for corresponding character or a symbol. The ASCII values are numbers. These numbers are to be typed only using NUM PAD. After typing the number you should release the ALT key. The corresponding character or the symbol for the respective ASCII value will be displayed in the screen.

I thot on-screen keyboard was the only solution !!! wat if NUMPAD keys dont work?????
@ Sandeep
i like your question dude!!
There are two number key pads in keyboards & we can make use of it.. If only the NUM pad is not working, you can try the number keys which are below the function keys. If Num pad + other character keys not working, then its time to buy a new keyboard.

I use SharpKeys on my HP netbook to swap my up-arrow and right-shift keys for more natural touch typing. First it was with XP and now with Win7. It’s easy and effective.
They occasionally pop off. Just pop them back on. If you send it in, you’ll probably be paying big bucks for a new keyboard when all they’ll do is pop the key(s) back on. I’ve had a couple of keys pop off. If the plastic isn’t broken, they’ll just pop back on.
This website is awesome dude..:)
