CHROME OS
Google Chrome OS is a lightweight, cloud-based operating system, as a result we won’t be able to run complex programs which is not available on the cloud. Need an internet connection to operate.
Open Source
The first & the foremost thing is Chrome OS is an OSS, Open Source Software. The source code will be given & you can download it & can start using it & also you can optimize it in the way you want. So no cost
Internet
Do you stay online for the whole day??, atleast for the maximum hours, then Chrome OS is meant for you. The OS is focussed for the users who spend most of their computer time on the net.
Speed
When it comes to speed, Chrome OS will be faster than any other OS, Chrome OS is designed in a manner such that it can run on low powered ATOM & ARM processors. It can also boot faster.
Integrated Media Player & Printing Service
Google will integrate a Media Player into both the Chrome OS & Chrome browsers, this will enable the user to play back MP3s & also view JPEGs & can also handle other multimedia files while being offline.
Google had planned to create a GOOGLE CLOUD PRINT service which will help the users to print any application on any device to print on any printer without the need of any drivers.
Security Measures
This Chrome OS is integrated with the Chrome browser, thus this OS will automatically update the security system by default. One more thing, most of your work & your data are gonna be stored online, since it is an Cloud based OS.
Other Services
Google’s service like Gmail, Google Docs, Picasa etc, all these services will be built-in and also we can have offline access via Google Gears. At this point of view no net connection is needed.
Web Based Application
Any web based application will run in Chrome OS. One more thing even Microsoft Office Live will also run on a Chrome OS computer.
Thus Google Chrome is designed for people who live on the web searching for information, checking email, catching up on the news, shopping or just staying in touch with friends

nice info’s dude ….
Hope you liked it
I think most of the important factor to consider is Security. I hate Windows viruses and spywares and I think with Google OS, the chances of viruses will be zero for some period of time !!
Yes mate!!
But it is cloud based OS, there is very less chances for Viruses & spywares..
Great info dude. I still using xp
!!
Thanks for sharing this great post.

Even I’m still using XP mate
!! Thanks for your comment!!
Good share mate, i personally recommend CHROME Os because it is definitely going trock the stage in the future
Lets hope for the best dude!!
Since this OS eat all our data, I personally don’t like this at all but as a software tester I will test this soon.
Nice!! waiting for a positive answer from you mate
Cool is uses Linux. Chrome no. No ad-block an no No-Script. It is new that g$$gle is planning a browser based o/s. But its old news when Mozilla-labs has been working on Arrora and other technologies for a while and as mentioned M$’s gazelle browser O/S mentioned in a recent previous article.
hmm…wanna give it a try, anyway i hopes that it will be somewhat made for online ones like me. Hopes it could open a new platform for web browsing.
NB: Who knows if it does have altranatives for all popular softwares…. I’m sure it can’t run the windows BASIC and linux BLASIC softwares ..
Even I’m not sure about it buddy, but it is based on Linux OS !! lets wait & watch
Fully agree with your post. Google Chrome is a light weight and fastest internet browser i have ever used. Having lots of features its bags the no1 spot in ranking of all internet browser.
Great invention from Google daddy.
I think Google is really making a giant move and this move will definitely make Microsoft more nervous as google is now heading in the field where Microsoft is King.
Fully agree with post. I used Google chrome and its processing speed really amazing.
Its really fast and reliable. I give a no1 rank to it and Firefox will place on 2nd position.
Thanks for such wonderful post.
Thanks for your comment
I am pretty sure chrome OS is more of a technical project for google than a commericial one. If google manage to develop a fully working cloud OS they will have solved a lot of issues that tie people to the desktop.
If I could run all my apps on a Unix, I’d be long gone, but this is where the software is. No amount of clever design is going to get Google over that hurdle.
Chrome OS, Google’s newly announced computer operating system, is coming this autumn and promises to revolutionize netbooks and other underpowered machines. Its really no1 in Cost, Speed, Compatibility and Portability. Really it will definitely compete the Microsoft’s
OS.
As to available software… think ‘app store’ without the need to download and install locally. With Chrome going open source anyone will be able to build a web-app which conforms to Chrome specs… and thus is accessible on any machine which Chrome can run on.
I am running Chromium OS with VirtualBox on Windows 7. I cannot get my network adapter to work correctly to allow internet access. I have tried the bridged modes with no luck.
I have increased the size of the font in google chrome by using zoom option, but it can be achieved for all websites that i open in chrome? most of the time it restores its font size to smaller level!
Really awesome blog buddy and such informative post too. I am a web application developer by myself so this article was very interesting for me to read. Moreover those tips are really useful and I will definitely use them in website development process in the future. Awaiting for your next one.
Chrome seems alright so far. however, for some reason It won’t let me scroll up using the touch pad on my laptop……. Which it annoying to say the least.
